3. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)

- Performance of a contract — to administer an investor relationship or engagement you have entered into with us.

4. Marketing communications
We only send investment-related communications to people who have asked to receive them or who have an existing relationship with us. Every message includes an unsubscribe option, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We may share it with: professional advisers (legal, accounting, compliance); IT, hosting, email and analytics providers acting as our processors under written agreements; and regulators or authorities where required by law.
Where an opportunity requires it, we will only share your details with a sponsor, issuer or third party with your prior consent.
6. International transfers
We operate from the U.A.E. and use service providers that may process data in the EEA, the UK, the U.A.E. and the United States. Where personal data of EEA/UK individuals is transferred outside those regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable). A copy of the relevant safeguards is available on request.
7. Retention
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, marketing consent records for as long as you remain subscribed plus 24 months, and investor and KYC/AML records for the period required by law (typically at least 5 years after the relationship ends). Data is then deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to erasure; to restrict or object to processing (including direct marketing); to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any right, email kevin@cap-connect.co. We respond within one month. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including access controls, encryption in transit and confidentiality obligations on our team — to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
